FL Senator Carey Baker was our guest on Thursday, February 28th at the 12 Noon meeting which was held in the Indigo Lakes Banquet Room. Senator Baker represents District 20, which includes parts of Marion, Sumter, Lake, Volusia and Seminole Counties.

Tiger Bay Club welcomed Taxation and Budget Reform Commission Chairman Allan Bense on Thursday, March 27th at the 12 Noon meeting in the Indigo Banquet Room. Bense, a Republican, was the Speaker of the Florida House from 2002 to 2006.

We welcomed John Kitzhaber, a former emergency physician, legislator and two-term Governor of Oregon to the April 29th meeting. Past President of the Oregon State Senate, he authored and implemented the ground-breaking Oregon Health Plan.

Tiger Bay Club welcomed William S. McCallister on Tuesday, July 29th. He is a retired military officer who has worked extensively in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. He is currently a senior consultant for Applied Knowledge International (AKI) in Iraq.

Former President and Chief Executive Officer of the Florida Center for Fiscal & Economic Policy William James (Jim) Tait, Jr. was the guest speaker on December 2, 2008 at Indigo Lakes. Tait was the first Executive Director of this non-profit foundation.
